The quantum state $\lvert 0\rangle$ is one of the two computational basis states. The other one is [[one-state]]. 

The state vector representation of this state is
$$\lvert 0\rangle = \begin{pmatrix}1\\0\end{pmatrix}$$

It's a state that corresponds to the north pole on the Bloch sphere.
