# Pasqal **Pasqal** is a French company founded out of the Institut d'Optique. It builds on neutral-atom-qubits, the same family as atom-computing and quera-computing, using optical tweezers and Rydberg-state gates. Its atoms are arranged in full 3D configurations rather than flat grids, since tweezers can position atoms anywhere in a volume. Pasqal offers both gate-based computing and analog simulation on the same hardware. Its early commercial focus leans toward optimization and simulation problems, logistics and chemistry among them, which map naturally onto the analog mode.
